Off-Site Travel and Relocation Reimubursement

Types of Authorized Travel

Business Travel includes trips taken on official business by an employee for an estimated duration of ninety days or less.

Site Transfer covers the relocation of a Laboratory employee from one work site to another for an estimated duration of more than ninety days.

Interview Travel covers a trip taken by a prospective employee for the purpose of an employment interview.

To-Join Travel covers relocation of a new employee when a minimum one-way distance of fifty miles is traveled. The relocation must occur within twelve (12) months of the employee's start date. In the event the new employee resigns for reasons within his/her control prior to completing one year's service, the Laboratory will be refunded the amount of reimbursement made for any relocation.

Post-Employment Travel covers relocation upon completion of an appointment as specifically provided in the terms of employment.
